We Have Over 12 Years of Experience

Gitche Gumee Construction LLC is a small company based in northern Wisconsin, serving Drummond and Cable, owned by Brandon and Rowenna Janisch.

Brandon grew up learning to fix and remodel homes, gaining hands-on experience from helping his father with repairs and retrofitting boats. His background in woodworking and electronics through 4-H provided him with a solid foundation in design and systems integration (electrical, plumbing, etc.). With over 12 years of carpentry experience, he has worked in log home construction and insulation, focusing on energy efficiency. Brandon's expertise spans all building trades, ensuring that modifications, like adding a tile shower, are structurally sound. Gitche Gumee Construction LLC was founded in 2020 to share their knowledge of home design and function with the community.

Outside of work, the Janischs enjoys gardening, hiking, sailing, and spending time with their four children. The company specializes in hardwood floor installation and bathroom remodeling, with ice dam removal services available in winter.

Reliable, dependable and excellent communicator. We have hired Brandon for several jobs at our house and both times he was there on schedule. We appreciated the prior notification on his arrival by text message. The first time we called him we had huge ice dams and he came and removed the ice with high pressure heat and steam and completely cleaned up the area when he finished. The next year he replaced our gutters and downspouts; again, he cleaned up the area, left no trace or any debris and the work performed was of very high quality. We will definitely be hiring him again for additional construction work.
